OpenAI is leaning toward pushing its initial public offering to 2027, a New York Times report dated June 25 said, citing people involved in the company’s internal discussions. That would mark a shift from the late-2026 timeline OpenAI has signaled since January. The report said CEO Sam Altman has rejected any valuation below $1 trillion, while CFO Sarah Friar has argued internally for delaying until 2027.

Microsoft said on June 25 it will raise Xbox console prices worldwide on August 1, including a $100 increase on 512GB Xbox Series S models to $500 and a $150 hike on 1TB models. The Xbox Series X Digital is set to rise to $750, while the standard Series X will cost $800. Microsoft is discontinuing the 2TB Series X.

Solstice said it will launch aiUSX, a yield-bearing asset designed to let companies help finance AI infrastructure using capital they already earmark for AI spending. TensorX and Solstice announced a partnership to finance European sovereign AI infrastructure. The two companies said they will work together to create a facility with up to $1 billion in capacity.

Morgan Stanley has again lifted its forecast for humanoid robot shipments from China in 2026. The bank began the year projecting 14,000 units, then raised that to 28,000 by early spring. U.S. humanoid robot maker Agility Robotics is preparing to list on Wall Street through a SPAC merger with Churchill Capital. The companies said Wednesday they signed a definitive merger agreement, valuing Agility at $2.5 billion pre-money. The combined company is expected to trade under the ticker “AGLT” on a major North American exchange.

OpenAI will begin using its first custom AI chip, “Jalapeño,” built by Broadcom. The chip is intended to handle the compute-heavy work of running AI models.

Qualcomm is reported to be in talks with ByteDance to design customized chips for the TikTok parent. The discussions underscore a widening push by tech groups to develop AI silicon outside Nvidia’s orbit. A successful deal would build on a relationship that has already produced results, after Qualcomm agreed in May to supply ByteDance with millions of ASICs for AI data center use, according to Reuters.
