Lido Finance has launched direct ETH staking on Arbitrum, Base, Linea and Optimism. The service runs on Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), allowing users to stake in the Layer 2's native environment and receive liquid staking tokens without first bridging assets back to Ethereum mainnet. The rollout is intended to simplify multi-chain staking and reduce user costs and capital friction, and is positioned to expand Lido's staking market share and draw more assets onto Layer 2 networks.

South Korea's Supreme Court has promulgated Rule 3280, establishing standardized procedures for courts to freeze, transfer and liquidate digital assets in order to recover unpaid debts. They take effect in November and apply to cases already before the courts, with existing attachment and preservation orders remaining valid. It marks South Korea's first clear judicial enforcement process for disposing of digital assets.
