Odaily Planet Daily reported that, as of 2:00 p.m. ET on Aug. 23, BitMine held 5,847,611 ETH, equal to about 4.8% of Ethereum's total supply. The firm added 32,447 ETH over the past week.
BitMine said total assets—including crypto holdings, cash, securities and "Moonshot" investments—stood at roughly $14.9 billion. The breakdown includes $308 million in cash and securities, 210 BTC, $180 million in equity from Beast Industries and $89 million invested in Eightco Holdings.
The company has staked 5,067,309 ETH, about 87% of its ETH position, valued at approximately $12.4 billion. Based on current conditions, BitMine estimates annualized staking income at around $330 million.
