Varun Beverages, PepsiCo’s largest bottling partner in India, reported a 15.5% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit in the second quarter to 15.21 billion rupees as volumes increased. Revenue from operations grew 20.8% to 86.51 billion rupees, while consolidated sales volume climbed 19.8% and international volumes surged 38.4%. The company said early stocking of key raw materials and a higher mix of low- and no-sugar products helped protect margins in India, and it has extended its exclusive India bottling agreement with PepsiCo by 10 years. The results point to strong end-market demand for soft drinks, offering tangible support to upstream sugar raw materials.
