Teck’s Q2 profit beats forecasts as copper output rises 25% and prices jump 40%

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Teck's Q2 results significantly beat expectations as copper output rose 25% YoY and realized copper prices climbed ~40%, underscoring tight supply and strong producer margins. The completed coal divestment increases operational leverage to copper. Canada's planned smelter funding and Anglo American's pending acquisition (awaiting China antitrust clearance) add a regulatory catalyst, reinforcing near-term focus on global copper concentration and critical-minerals capacity.
