Anthropic said it has disrupted multiple malicious operations that used its Claude models, ranging from cyber-espionage to weapons development and mass-surveillance campaigns, according to a new company threat report. The company alleged it intervened in northern Yemen to block an attempt to deploy Claude for missile guidance software for a guided rocket and a long-range ballistic missile. The report also described activity it said was linked to Russian and Chinese operations as well as Iranian state-aligned influence efforts, sharpening concerns about military misuse and geopolitical risks tied to advanced AI.
