Oil tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has stopped, with vessel speeds at zero, tracking data show. Several European governments told their flagged tankers not to transit the strait. About 20 million barrels a day, around 20% of global supply, usually move via Hormuz, with no viable alternative route.
