Ethereum Drops Under $3,000 As Profitability Slips And ETF Outflows Deepen Investor Losses

Ethereum spent much of December under selling pressure, and its move back below $3,000 has pushed more holders into unrealized losses. On-chain metrics show the share of ETH supply in profit sliding under 60%, down from above 70% earlier in the month, while US Spot Ethereum ETFs have recorded persistent 30-day net outflows since early November. At the same time, large holders have reduced exposure, with one wallet swapping 4,619 ETH for Bitcoin Cash and Arthur Hayes selling 1,871 ETH in the past week.
