1. Fee Transparency — Must Read Before Subscribing
Before confirming your subscription, read the following fee information carefully:
Performance Fee
Settlement time: weekly, calculated based on the performance fee rate set by the trader.
Performance fee calculation method: High Water Mark (HWM) model
Performance fees are only charged on the part that exceeds the historical highest profit record. No fee is charged during a historical loss drawdown period.
Example: 20% performance fee, settled weekly
Week 1: Profit $1,000 → High water mark = $1,000 → Fee charged $200
Week 2: Loss $500 → High water mark unchanged → Fee charged $0
Week 3: Profit $800 → Exceeds high water mark by $300 → Fee charged $60 (charged only on the $300)
Which PnL items are included in the performance fee calculation?
Before subscribing, confirm whether the following items are included in the profit calculation basis:
Overnight interest (swap)
Commission
Whether floating PnL is included in the high water mark calculation
2. Subscription Status Explanation
Your subscription behaves as follows under different statuses:
Status
Description
Not Activated
The subscription has been created but copying has not yet started. You can confirm all settings at this stage
Active
Actively receiving and copying the trader's open and close signals
Suspended
Stops receiving new open signals, but close actions for already copied positions are still executed in sync with the trader
Archived
Subscription terminated, no more copy actions will occur
3. Operation Instructions
Activate
Start receiving copy signals. If you select "Copy current positions," the system will copy the trader's existing positions at the current market price. The opening cost may differ significantly from the trader's original cost. Evaluate carefully.
Suspend
Temporarily stops receiving new positions, but will not close positions you already copied. Closing signals from the trader for these positions will continue to sync. Use this when you need to briefly observe or adjust your settings.
Reactivate
Resume normal copy trading from a suspended state. Note: After reactivation, the system will not automatically copy positions the trader opened during the suspension period. It will only sync new signals starting from the reactivation time.
Unsubscribe
By default, unsubscribing will:
Close all copy positions
Settle the performance fee for the current cycle
Terminate the subscription relationship
If the platform allows the "Keep Positions" option, you can choose not to close your positions, but note the following:
Positions you keep will no longer be managed by the copy trading system.
The system will still calculate and charge the performance fee applicable at that time for your positions kept.
4. FAQs
Q: Why don't my positions match the trader's? Copiers can manually place orders or close positions themselves. Discrepancies between your copy results and the trader's may also occur due to insufficient account balance, maximum lot limits, small lots being skipped, or other reasons. This is normal.
Q: Will I be affected if the trader changes their fee settings? If the platform allows fee changes during an active subscription, the new rate may take effect from the start of the current settlement cycle, not just from the time of the change. We recommend carefully confirming whether to continue your subscription after a fee change notice is issued.
Q: Will I still be charged after canceling my subscription? When you cancel your subscription, the system performs a final settlement, and you need to pay the performance fee accrued up to the time of cancellation. Registration fee and management fee are already paid and are non-refundable.
Q: What happens if the account margin is insufficient? If the account balance is not enough to execute a copy order, that copy order may fail to execute. In severe cases, the MT5 account's own liquidation (stop out) mechanism will be triggered. This is independent of the copy trading risk control mechanism.
