Ethereum Foundation Sets 2026 Protocol Priorities: Scale, UX, L1 Hardening

The Ethereum Foundation released its 2026 protocol priorities update, setting three tracks: Scale, Improve UX, and Harden the L1. The update highlights continued efforts to push the gas limit toward 100M+, advance ePBS with further blob parameter increases, and develop a zkEVM attester client.
