Real-world asset protocols have grown into DeFi's fifth-largest segment by total value locked, with TVL surpassing $17 billion and Ethereum hosting more than $12 billion of that. Gold-backed tokens such as Tether Gold and Paxos Gold lead the category, while tokenized equities have pushed their market cap beyond $1.2 billion to a new all-time high. XRP's price has dropped from about $3.66 to near $1.85, while exchange inflows to platforms like Binance have risen, signaling heavier sell pressure even as total exchange balances fall toward 1.5 billion XRP. Political links drew scrutiny, while the company and the White House denied allegations.

Since 26 December, Ethereum whale wallets have increased their holdings by roughly 300,000 ETH to about 100.8 million ETH, worth over $850 million at prices near $2,940. Ripple's XRP is showing signs of weakening support as ETF inflows slow, long-term holders trim positions, and derivatives activity declines. Total Net Assets from ETFs have stalled around $1.24 billion while wallets holding XRP for 2-3 years have sharply reduced their share. Open Interest on Binance has slid to about $450 million, leaving XRP's price more vulnerable to shifts in sentiment.

Bitcoin is heading for a 19.15% drop in Q4, with short-term holders selling at a loss, extreme fear dominating sentiment, and ETF outflows weighing on liquidity. On-chain indicators such as SOPR and MVRV suggest capitulation could continue for another few months, yet some analysts expect the asset's maturing volatility profile and institutional demand to help it reach new highs in 2026.
